About Thrust:

Thrust is a formidable ensemble with a reputation for making risky, muscular, inventive theatre. Notable for bold visual and dramaturgical interventions on new and found texts, through their work Thrust is constantly reassessing the theatrical form. Critics and audiences alike regularly describe their productions as brave, elegant, striking, sophisticated and urgent. Past work includes several new play commissions, including the world premieres of papercut– at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Inheritance at the King's Head Theatre; a series of bold revivals at Brighton Fringe; cutting-edge intermedial adaptations of beloved novels such as The Bell Jar and On Chesil Beach; plus More Storm Festival – a groundbreaking format for scratch and new work. Thrust's ensemble trained at Middlesex University, where the company is currently based.
